ELSPES Inc., a rising innovator in silicon-based passive components, was featured in the December 2024 edition of The Startup Scaleup Story Book, published by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED).
This special issue spotlights CEO Youngyeol Park's vision and ELSPES’s rapid ascent as a key player in high-performance semiconductor capacitors.
ELSPES’s flagship product, the Silicon Capacitor, offers precise voltage and current control optimized for advanced chips such as CPUs, GPUs, and mobile APs. As industries such as 5G, AI, and autonomous systems evolve, ELSPES capacitors are increasingly recognized as essential components that enhance performance and power integrity in next-generation systems.
Backed by a team of semiconductor experts, including CEO Park—who led advanced TSV and 2.5D/3D packaging technologies at Samsung—the company leverages deep technical know-how and strategic execution. “We aim to go beyond simple product manufacturing and establish ourselves as a technology leader that accurately responds to the evolving demands of the semiconductor market,” said CEO Park.
Supported by Korea’s Startup Leap Package, ELSPES rapidly developed and demonstrated high-quality samples with the aid of the Daejeon Nanofab Center (NNFC). The program accelerated their product readiness and enabled direct engagement with global clients.
From its early days, ELSPES took bold steps toward globalization. Its first international sales lead self-funded overseas operations, catalyzing outreach to major U.S., European, and Asian semiconductor firms. To date, ELSPES has signed over 110 NDAs, with more than 30 international partners, a clear indication of the trust it has built worldwide.
Looking ahead, ELSPES is expanding its reach through aggressive global marketing and strategic investment. With over KRW 34 billion (approx. USD 26 million) planned for production facilities and a sales target of KRW 100 billion (approx. USD 77 million) by 2027, the company is solidifying its presence in the global semiconductor ecosystem.
“Our vision is not merely to manufacture products, but to create new markests and cltures through innovation,” Park emphasized.
